Some people may not value a clinic based on something seemingly so simple - leading. Let me be the first to tell you that I have seen more horses pulled (or pulling their owner), than I have seen horses who know how to lead properly! Aside from having a well balanced horse at the end of your lead rope, that is easy for anyone to safely handle, these clinics are also a great way to prepare for any in hand competitions. Classes such as in-hand trail, halter, showmanship, ground handling, in-hand ranch horse, etc ALL use these skills.
Not to mention, all of these skills (or lack of them) translate to how your horse manages themselves under saddle. Horses who spook, rear, or bolt, generally have missing concepts in their every day handling on the ground.
Here is a video preview of just some of the skills you can learn in the ground work levels
